Visa Information

If you plan to attend the LASA/Africa 2023 Congress on-site, November 15–18, 2023, be sure to check the requirements for travel and entry to The Republic of Ghana. 

Most people need a visa to enter Ghana.

The visa must be requested at the diplomatic missions (embassies, consulates or high commissions) that Ghana has worldwide.

Letters to support the Ghana visa application are available only for people registered for the Congress.

Some of the requirements when applying for a Ghana entry visa are:
  • Applicants should be legally resident in the country where Ghana’s Mission is sited.
  • Applicant's passport photographs should be taken not more than three months prior to the date of submission.
  • An international certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.
  • Applicant's passports must have a validity of at least six months.
  • Applicants should attach a copy of a return ticket or print-out of the travel itinerary.

Your Ghana host is your hotel

If, during the visa process, you are asked for your Ghana host provide the name of the hotel where you will be staying. You may also be asked for your hotel's email address and GPS location. Please note that visa application processes may be different depending on your country of residence or nationality.
