Visa Information

If you plan to attend the LASA/Africa 2023 Congress on-site, November 15–18, 2023, be sure to check the requirements for travel and entry to The Republic of Ghana.

Most people need a visa to enter Ghana.

The visa must be requested at the diplomatic missions (embassies, consulates or high commissions) that Ghana has worldwide.

Letters to support the Ghana visa application are available only for people registered for the Congress.

Some of the requirements when applying for a Ghana entry visa are:
  • Applicants should be legally resident in the country where Ghana’s Mission is sited.
  • Applicant's passport photographs should be taken not more than three months prior to the date of submission.
  • An international certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.
  • Applicant's passports must have a validity of at least six months.
  • Applicants should attach a copy of a return ticket or print-out of the travel itinerary.

The information above is not a complete list of all the requirements to apply for a visa to enter Ghana. Refer to the diplomatic mission according to your country of residence and/or nationality to obtain the complete information to apply for the visa.
