At the Maison des Esclaves, visitors will be able to see the former cells and the famous Door of No Return, one of the site's most iconic spaces. The visit will be complemented by a tour of the Historical Museum, which provides a deeper understanding of the island's history and its role in the transatlantic slave trade.

Gorée also offers the opportunity to discover and purchase various forms of local handicrafts, including paintings, sculptures, decorative objects, and jewelry, available at the island's numerous workshops and artisan stalls.

Time will be allowed for participants to enjoy, at their own expense, the local cuisine at restaurants located by the sea. Visitors can sample traditional Senegalese dishes, particularly fish and seafood, in a pleasant setting overlooking the ocean.

The visit takes place on foot, as vehicle traffic is virtually absent on the island, allowing visitors to explore its streets at a leisurely pace and discover its cultural heritage.
